It Begins in Paris
Sons of a Lutheran minister and clockmaker from Glashutte, the boys traveled to France with their parents in 1888 to attend the World Exhibition in Paris. Inspired by the exquisite design and engineering of the newly completed Eiffel Tower, the boys shared in their wonder of the new age of technical and aesthetic progress.
Across the Pond
Traveling together to New York in 1909, they opened a small establishment that offered exceptional and unique products from around the world. Each item offered brought them joy and represented the finest in design or engineering in its category. The name Frick & Kewel soon became associated with unparalleled gift giving for New York’s high society.
